Louisa Krämer-Weidenhaupt

Louisa is a fine art underwriter, appraiser, writer, and researcher with a specialisation in 20th century art as well as Luba ritual and ceremonial objects. She founded W&B Fine Art in 2021 and has more than 13 years of experience across fine art sales and the art insurance industry, working for companies such as Axa Art, ERGO Fine Art & Specialty as well as galleries including Galerie Karsten Greve and Galerie Thomas.

With both extensive experience in fine art sales and underwriting for private, commercial and institutional collections, Louisa has a strong background in art appraisal and valuations as well as an in-depth understanding of insurance structuring under local and international tax and customs regulations, collection documentation and due diligence procedures. Her knowledge of preventative conservation and restoration measures as well as risk management for complex exhibition logistics further informs her work.

Louisa holds an MA in Art Market Appraisal, accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, as well as a Ph.D. from the University of Leicester. As a researcher, her main interest lies in the institutionalisation of private collections, interactions between the commercial art world and the institutional sector, as well as sustainable collection management and operational practice. 

Julia Rennschmid

Julia Rennschmid is a registrar and logistics specialist with a background in both museum and commercial gallery contexts. She has extensive experience managing the documentation, movement, and condition reporting of artworks, as well as coordinating loans, acquisitions, and exhibitions. Her work spans roles at museums, galleries, and a fine art shipping company, giving her an in-depth understanding of the physical and legal care of collections. Julia has also overseen the logistics of major international art fairs and gallery exhibitions. As a freelance specialist, Julia supports W&B Fine Art with attention to detail and practical expertise in the care for and management of private and institutional collections.
